Pastor Henry Nwaneri is a Nigerian-born Canadian pastor, author, prophetic teacher, intercessor, missionary, and worshiper. He became a Canadian citizen in 2003. Henry has pastored churches in Nigeria, Canada, and the United States, and his ministry has church branches in seven countries. His heart is to help people know Jesus, grow spiritually, develop a strong prayer life, and fulfill God’s purpose.

As a pastor, Henry teaches about many aspects of Christian life. His favorite subjects include spiritual growth, intimacy with God, prayer, intercession, and the revelation of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit throughout Scripture. His teaching combines biblical truth, prophetic insight, encouragement, and practical application.

Henry does not charge a fee to preach, although hosts are welcome to give an honorarium or gift.

Henry wrote and published his first book, Overcoming the Spirit of Anger, in 1998. In 2024, he sensed God commanding him to begin writing again and telling him that a special anointing would rest upon his writing so readers could encounter God’s voice and Word through the books.

For Henry, writing is more than a profession or creative activity. It is an act of obedience and ministry.

Henry does not write simply because he understands a subject and wants to explain it. He writes because he believes God has directed him to address a need, question, or yearning in people’s lives. He describes this as rhema: a present, living word bringing revelation, inspiration, instruction, and transformation.

Yes. Send a request through Contact. Henry regularly sets aside Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays to intercede for people. At times he prays through hundreds or thousands of requests, calling people’s names before God, and may carry a particular burden for someone over several days.

Henry considers intercession a spiritual responsibility, reflecting Samuel’s words in 1 Samuel 12:23 about not sinning against God by failing to pray for others.

Henry believes personal prophetic ministry can be encouraging, instructive, and spiritually significant when led by the Holy Spirit. He does not want people to become overly dependent on prophecy. When he senses the Spirit leading, he may share what God has placed on his heart, but submitting a request does not guarantee a personal prophetic word.

Henry and those assisting him strive to respond within 12 to 24 hours. Because team members may work from different time zones, exact timing can vary. Prayer requests may be prayed over even when a written response takes longer.

He has released four albums: The Prophetic Night of Healing, recorded in Nigeria, followed in North America by Unto Thee, My Cry, and Prophetic Night of Prayer for Canada. Henry writes his songs and participates closely in composing, arranging, producing, and directing the music.

Yes. Henry plays keyboard, guitar, and drums, although he does not describe himself as a professional instrumentalist. He would also like to learn saxophone.

His musical journey began at university on April 15, 1992. While praying, Henry fell into a trance in which an angel showed him how to play keyboard in the key of C. That evening he successfully accompanied a church service. A similar experience involving the guitar followed the next day.

Henry does not have only one favorite song. Because of his intercessory calling, he is especially drawn to worship. His prayer playlists include Vineyard Music and Integrity Music songs that inspired him in the 1990s, together with newer worship songs that speak to his spirit.

Henry’s principal newsletter is sent once a week. Additional teachings and messages may sometimes be shared two or three times in a week, with an option for readers who want more frequent material.

Two passages have special significance for Henry: Habakkuk 2:14, declaring that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God’s glory as the waters cover the sea; and Exodus 33:15, where Moses asks God not to lead His people forward without His presence.

These passages express Henry’s longing for God’s presence and his desire to see the knowledge of God’s glory fill the earth.
